Description: | Summary: This host is running FTPshell Server and is prone to Buffer Overflow Vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: This flaw is due to a boundary error in the FTPShell server application when processing certain Windows registry keys. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will let the attacker craft a malicious license registry key file and can cause arbitrary code execution by tricking user to install the crafted malicious license registry file and may cause denial-of-service to the application. Affected Software/OS: FTPShell Server version 4.3.0 or prior on Windows. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
